A must for every magician . . . beginner
or not. All magicians - from David Copperfield to Chris
Angel to David Blane - have used one of these decks.
Here’s the effect: The
magician introduces a deck, and shows that the cards are all
different. A spectator selects a card. The magician
is able to correctly guess their card, and then confesses that
it was really quite a simple trick. He explains that he
cast a hypnotic spell to make the spectator think that the
cards were all different, when in reality the deck contained
only their card. With that, the magician shows that,
indeed, every card in the pack has now magically changed to
their selected card. But, as with all spells, it can be
reversed. After returning the selected card to the pack,
the cards all transform back to an ordinary appearing deck.
It’s an amazing, head scratching
effect - and the best part is . . . IT’S SIMPLE TO DO.
And dozens of other effects are possible.
This deck makes it look as though you are
a master card manipulator, but the truth is . . . THE GIMMICKED
DECK DOES ALL THE WORK. You’ll learn the trick in
five minutes, and be fooling people minutes after that.
The Svengali Deck is a perfect trick for an introduction to the
mysterious world of magic, regardless of age. A five year
old can do this as confidently as an adult, and the audience
will be equally impressed. On a skill level of 1 through
5, I would rank this as 2. If you can flip through a deck
of cards, then you can do these tricks.
And don’t be fooled into thinking
that this is only amateur magic. Countless books have
been written by master illusionists about the endless
possibilities for this powerful deck.
The Svengali Deck is standard Bridge size, and measures
approximately 2 1/4" by 3 ½" by ¾"
thick. The whole deck weighs approximately 3 ounces.
The Svengali Deck comes complete, brand new, shrink wrapped in its box,
with easy-to-follow illustrated instructions explaining 10
different tricks.
